The Old Town Hall is now a double residential building with a shared staircase and modern installations. A date inside the building indicates that it dates back to the 16th century, more precisely to 1563.
The Old Town Hall is undoubtedly a middle-class building, not least because of its impressive interior, such as the profiled planked ceiling and the window column on the upper floor. The remains of a Winterthur oven found during excavations in the floor of the upper floor also indicate that it was built by wealthy owners.
